SEVENTH ANNUAL FIRE COMPANY GOLF OUTING

Members and friends of the New Canaan Fire Company No. 1 from past and present gathered yesterday afternoon for the 7th Annual N.C. Fire Golf Outing at Grassy Hill Country Club in Orange CT. We couldnt have had a better time as the weather was perfect the course challenging and the competition fierce. This years field consisted of 13 foursomes made up of active firefighters life and associate members mutual aid from Vista local merchants and friends of the NCFC. As the groups filtered in after their round there were several different emotions felt. Some came in with their chests out and proud with their scorecard others were sulking in defeat. Some had tears of joy and others had tears of unfathomable sadness. In the end only one group was able to tame the beast that was Grassy Hill. Coming in at an earned 6 strokes under par the Ferocious Foursome of Mallozzi Dupont Westendorf and Bojka were able to Ham and Egg their way around this track and come out on top. Following the golf we enjoyed a great meal and some camaraderie in addition to the raffle prizes. When all was said and done the day was great and we all look forward to next years outing.
