SCBA Training

Members of New Canaan Fire Company No. 1 participated in the annually required OSHA training on a key piece of Firefighting equipment, the SCBA (Self Contained Breathing Apparatus). Firefighters refreshed themselves with the Mayday protocol and completed a ‘Maze’ donned with full PPE to simulate an entrapment scenario. Bi-monthly trainings like this one allow for our firefighters to be fresh on their skills for when they are needed the most.
