It has been brought to our attention that residents in New Canaan have been e-mailing emergency requests to the town e-mail box. In an emergency situation Always dial 911 never send an e-mail. Emergency requests through the town e-mail system are not passed on to the Police EMS or Fire Departments and will not be answered. If you lose power call the power company. However if there is an emergency DIAL 911 using your home or cellular phone. You might also consider going to a neighbors house should your phone system be inoperable.
