That will fit in nicely!

The departments has outgrown the current rescue truck and Gowan’s-Knight is building the new replacement rescue truck. Still work in progress as only the cab and chassis are done thus far. But what a difference having the full-size cab enabling us to bring two additional firefighters on the scene when needed! Or four instead of only two with the current rescue!

The old firehouse bays are a snug fit with inches to spare on each side when backing in. To make sure the new rescue will fit in, they stopped by for a test fitting before the rear box is finished and installed this winter.

It looks great now and no doubt even better once it’s finished and will be a great improvement over our old two man rescue truck!

Good job @gowansknight we look forward to see the apparatus once it’s completed and bring it into service!

Thats awesome! I remember the night I had to bring our tanker over to see how it would fit in the bottom bays. That was about 15 to 20 years ago

Woo-hoo! Will the new truck have pumper capabilities or be strictly a rescue?

It's time for a new fire house.
