New Canaan Fire would like to congratulate Sveinn Bragason and Ben Stout for qualifying as operators for Engine 2.

They've individually committed countless weekends in training and passed today's test including drafting, hydrant & hydrosist operations, relay pumping, tanker fill site set-up, portable pump use and all portable equipment.

New Canaan Fire Co., No. 1

The New Canaan Fire Company #1 and the New Canaan Volunteer Ambulance Corps held a joint training exercise this weekend. It simulated a multi-car, multiple critical patient motor vehicle accident, as well as one scenario with a simulated HAZMAT environment.

Both agencies learned and practiced valuable skills from patient triage and care, vehicle extrication, to incident command and more.
