Friday, May 2, 2014 – Members of the New Canaan Fire Company were joined by invited guests that included officers of neighboring departments, local politicians as well as others who have been supporters of the company. The Annual Dinner is a celebration of the past year’s accomplishments as well as a time for certain members to be recognized for their contributions. Though the following awards were given to these specific members the New Canaan Fire Company could not function without the efforts of all of its members and the support given by the entire Town of New Canaan. Sven Englund: President’s Life Time Achievement Award, Marc Savini: Outstanding Service Award, Lawrence Pitt: Excellence In Service, Eric Freeman: Excellence In Service, Edward Karl: FF of the Year 2013, Gray Pilder: Rookie of the Year 2013, John Pickering Jr: 50 year longevity pin, Al DuPont: 10 year longevity pin |
